Fordingtons Joinery

Fordingtons Joinery was established at the same time as Fordingtons Builders although there was a joinery workshop on the site in Fordington Green for many years prior to that. From this workshop we produce high quality bespoke joinery using traditional working methods that reflect the care and attention to detail that over the years our customers have come to expect.

Our workshop is the antithesis of many of today’s almost clinical and highly automated industrial units that rely on mass production, standard sizes and regular shapes. Our experienced and dedicated craftsman, together with their apprentices, are able to design and manufacture, from first principles, everything from staircases, windows, doors and fitted furniture to period mouldings, shop fronts and bespoke hardwood conservatories.

Specialising in purpose made joinery for listed buildings and highly individual refurbishment projects, we use a variety of timber from sustainable sources throughout the world including hardwoods such as oak, ash, idigbo, sapele and, where appropriate, high quality softwood.

As would be expected we are able to incorporate up to date glass specifications and ironmongery that ensure our products echo both traditional values of classic design and craftsmanship as well as proven advances in fittings and materials.
